Fly from Lanseria to King Shaka and travel north through KwaZulu-Natal across three very different stays. Begin with three nights on the shores of Lake St Lucia in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, then three nights at a small owner-run tented camp in the bush, and end with four nights at Thonga Beach Lodge on the coast. Flights, road transfers and the 4x4 transfers to Thonga are all arranged.

Makakatana Bay Lodge
iSimangaliso Wetland Park
A family-owned lodge and the only private lodge inside the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, on the western shores of Lake St Lucia. Nyala and warthog often wander through the grounds. Guided boat and beach safaris explore the park's waterways and shoreline, and afternoon drives look for wildlife in the wetland.
All meals and scheduled activities are included.
Days 4 – 7 · 3 nights
Rhino Sands Safari Camp
Manyoni Private Game Reserve
A small, owner-run camp with only a handful of tented suites, set among old fig trees. The owners, a South African and American couple, put close care into every part of the stay.
All meals and two game drives a day are included.
Days 7 – 11 · 4 nights
Thonga Beach Lodge
iSimangaliso Wetland Park
A barefoot beach lodge within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, surrounded by coastal forest and quiet beaches. Scheduled activities include guided snorkelling just off the shore, walks through the coastal forest and grasslands, and sundowners at Lake Sibaya, Southern Africa's largest freshwater lake.
All meals and scheduled activities are included, plus your choice of a scuba dive, turtle tracking (in season) or a spa treatment.

- All bookings are subject to availability at the time of reservation.
- Not available over the peak season, 15 December to 15 January.
- Turtle tracking depends on the nesting season; I'll confirm what's possible for your dates.
